It was a great first round!
Lots of excitement – and two very different soups. Chef Tom created a warm butternut squash with curry and apple. Chef Bernard made a hearty turkey vegetable with a spinach pesto. All these ingredients were found in the kitchen at the Gospel Mission!
Our judges for the day #1 were Susan Knight and Dan Freeman from SunFM, along with Councillor Michelle Rule, and Jake and Pat from the Gospel Mission.
And by a very close vote – Chef Bernard Casavant from Manteo was our first winner!!
