What a wonderful evening! About 150 people joined us, and our fabulous MC’s Susan Knight and Jamie Maw, in this inaugural event. The chefs put their talents to the test with the best in BC seafood – mussels, sable-fish, salmon and oysters – along with a host of fixin’s to use in two different directions.
Chef Bernard went to the Mediterranean, Chef Paul went to Thailand. WOW!!
Chef Stuart Klassen, of the Delta Grand Hotel treated us to delightful appetizers, Jazz Cafe treated us to some sweet sounds.
The judges for this evening were the previous chefs who were eliminated – Chef Jesse Croy, Chef James Hanna, Chef Edan Fay and Chef Stuart Klassen, under the wise guidance of out Head Judge Jamie Maw.
And it couldn’t have been closer – just 1 point separated our two finalists. It was Chef Paul Cecconi who came out on top!
Incredible finish. We are so blessed to have the support of our culinary community.
Randy Benson, Executive Director of Kelowna’s Gospel Mission had a big smile on his face all night. ” I can’t wait for next year! This was the most successful and unique event that we’ve ever hosted. I believe this is just the beginning of a new relationship between the Mission and the Okanagan’s culinary talent.”
Thank you to everyone who made Stone Soup Chef an overwhelming success.
