It was another battle of the seasons in the kitchen of Kelowna’s Gospel Mission. Chef James Hanna worked a multi layered soup ‘Italian Wedding Style’ with meal balls made from ground venison and pork, complimented with a grilled cheese sandwich made from a baguette and some swiss cheese.
Chef Jesse Croy made light, sweet pea soup, with a dumpling of ricotta cheese and potato topped with a slice of smoked salmon.
Our judges, Maxine DeHart, Jessica Samuels, Laurel D’Andrea, Luci Wilcox, with clients Jose and James and Head Judge Jamie Maw had their work cut out for them.
When the timer went off – and the judging was complete – today it was Chef Jesse Croy who came out on top.
