Jamie Maw was the Food + Travel Editor of Vancouver magazine for 14 years, and a frequent contributor to The Globe and Mail, Western Living, Bon Appétit, CKNW, the CBC and Shaw TV, and many places elsewhere in print and other media. He was recently a judge on FOX-TV’s Hell’s Kitchen with Gordon Ramsay.
He has won National Magazine and Western Magazine awards on numerous occasions. Jamie was inducted into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame last year, and in 2008, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Culinary Arts by Vancouver magazine. He was the founding editor of The Eating + Drinking Guide to British Columbia and is co-editor of the bestselling cookbooks, ‘Vancouver Cooks’ – 1 + 2.
Jamie has also served as Chairman of the Jack Webster Foundation for Journalism, as Chairman of Canada Place, and was a founding director of Vancouver International Airport.
Jamie divides his time between his homes in Vancouver and Kelowna, where he contributes his weekly culinary news magazine ‘Eat My Words’ on AM 1150, and his new EZine, GoGo Magazine, which launches in the Okanagan in March, 2010.
