Born and raised in North Vancouver, BC, Local Lounge and Grille’s Executive Chef Paul Cecconi realized his interest in food at the age of 13. Paul developed his style by working at a variety of restaurants, from bakery to a selection of fine dining restaurants in Vancouver, honing his skills at a young age.

After attending Vancouver Community College, the 20 year old decided to indulge his passion for travel. Paul experienced Thailand, Europe, the United States and points across Canada, expanding his culinary tastes. In 1994 Paul was hired on at the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver where he completed a 3 year apprentice program under Chef Doug Anderson. In October 1999,Paul was presented with the opportunity to transfer to the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney, Austrailia. During his two years there Paul celebrated the new millennium, was witness to the Summer Olympics, and was a Four Seasons team member that hosted the International Olympic Committee.

Paul returned to Canada in November of 2001 to pursue an opportunity in Kelowna with the Harvest Golf Club as Sous Chef. Paul has worked with many talented chefs from around the world and became the Executive Chef in 2002.

In the summer of 2009, Paul left the Harvest and settled south making a home in Summerland, BC. Paul decided to put his culinary creativity to the test by joining BC Wine Legend Harry McWatters and his family in opening the South Okanagan’s Premiere food and wine establishment Local Lounge and Grille, of which he is currently the Executive Chef.
